All pupils are required to wear the school uniform. We feel that high standards of dress are important.
School Uniform – All year round.
Compulsory Items:
Black skirt – knee length, allowing ease of movement (not tight fitting ‘stretchy skirts’).
Black trousers – the following trousers are not considered suitable for school wear: cord/jean type trousers, leggings, very tight-fitting trousers, hipsters, ‘hareem’ trousers, chinos and linen trousers. Trousers with denim jean-style studs at the top of the pockets are not acceptable. Trousers should be smart, traditional and allow ease of freedom of movement.
White long or short sleeved school shirt
Black blazer with school logo
School tie (red stripe for years 7 – 9 and gold stripe for years 10 and 11).
Sensible flat black shoes – the following are not suitable for school:- sandals, sling-back shoes, open-toed shoes, boots, ankle boots or trainers, heels no higher than 2’’.
Plain white or black socks or plain black or natural tights
Boots are not part of the school uniform
Optional Items:
Black plain headscarf/hijab permitted only for religious reasons. Headbands should be plain and black, bandanas are not permitted in school.
Black Jumper with school logo
Branded PE Kit
Black polo top with school badge and pupil’s initials.
Black leggings, joggers or shorts with pupil’s initials.
Suitable Sports Trainers (any colour)
THESE ARE COMPULSORY ITEMS TO BE PURCHASED FROM ONE OF OUR PE SUPPLIERS AS LISTED BELOW. PE KIT MUST BE WORN TO EVERY PE LESSON
OPTIONAL ITEMS – This is optional and not compulsory, however would be useful, especially in the winter months for outdoor use.
Hoodie – Black hoodie with school badge and pupil’s initials – No other hoodie will be allowed.
Jewellery should not be worn in school apart from a watch and one stud earring in each ear. Strictly no other piercings are allowed. Noticeable make up is not permitted in school, this includes the wearing of false eyelashes.
For pupils who face financial difficulty, we keep a stock of good quality second-hand uniform in school.
