The SEND department consists of Mrs Marie Campbell, SENDCO, and a dedicated team of teaching assistants. If you wish to speak to Mrs Marie Campbell call 0121 464 8346 and ask to speak to the Schools’ SENDCO. All our teaching assistants are level 3 and above trained. Between them they have vast amount of years supporting children with needs.
The SEND department offers a range of resources, activities and support to ensure that all pupils achieve and enjoy.
SEND INTERVENTIONS
We firmly believe that high quality teaching and differentiation is the most effective way of securing improved outcomes for students with SEND. Whilst we have the skills set within the SEND team to run interventions, students will only be placed on these programmes if data and observations suggest that their special educational needs are barriers to their learning, engagement and progress in school and a separate intervention programme is needed.
The Birmingham Local Offer website is now launched. It includes information about the wide range of services that are available to support all areas of a child’s life (0-25 years) especially those with a Special Educational Need or Disability (SEND). This includes support with education, physical and mental health, social care, leisure activities and moving towards independence and adulthood.
If you were unable to make one of our previous webinars, or you are new to SEND, you can view all our previous webinars in this section of the Local Offer website. https://www.localofferbirmingham.co.uk/webinars/
