Mrs Nicki Allen

I am an Education Governor serving on the Education sub-committee. I have worked as a part time Teacher of Art at King Edward VI Northfield School for Girls since September 2014. I have two children in primary school, and have lived in South Birmingham for most of my life.

I have been teaching Art for over 12 years, in secondary schools but also in the primary and FE sectors. Previous to this I worked in museums and galleries, project managing and evaluating learning and interpretation projects. I have a MA Museum and Gallery Studies, and BA (hons) Art History.

I am committed to fostering the very best educational experiences for our students. I think that this is an exciting time for both the school and the local community, and I am keen to encourage our learners to engage with and have an impact on the regeneration of the local area. We are a very good school, and I will work hard to make sure that this is recognised more widely.
